It’s time to taste our fine, barrel-fermented 2016 white wines before they’re bottled and put to bed for a little rest. They include:
– Grüner Veltliner
– Viognier
– Albariño
The Grüner Veltliner is estate grown and our flagship white wine. It is among several Austrian varieties we pioneered here in New Jersey (watch for a vertical tasting of our Grüner to be announced soon).
The Viognier is grown exclusively for us in Vineland, New Jersey, where it clearly yields outstanding fruit. Viognier is a native of the northern Rhone River Valley in France.
A native of northern Spain, the Albariño is grown for us in the same vineyard as the Viognier. It is a truly elegant example of what’s possible with this grape in New Jersey, far more subtle and refined than many examples often encountered since Albariño became a “hot hot wine” in the past decade.
While still very young, the barrel tastes will reveal hints about where they’re headed and give you a chance to reserve yours through a subscription of a case or more. Not only does this ensure you get the wine you want before it sells out, but you get it a highly favorable subscription prices.
$10/person for ample splashes of all three.
